This is GOOD NEWS!! We've been having so many announcements of neighborhood gatherings, I've decided to create a page just for this purpose. All ongoing gatherings will be permanently listed here, and one-time events will be announced here.
Fall Festival of Fun!
Satuday October 25th from 1 pm to 4 pm at Oakhurst Baptist Church, 5037 Monroe Rd 28205. Treat your children to an afternoon of free entertainment and great fun. We will have drawings for a child's bike, a DVD player, basket of goodies, baked goods and free Wednesday night dinner at Oakhurst Baptist. Hot dogs, popcorn, cake walk, live band, bingo, hayrides, inflated obstacle course and a clown will be part of the festivities!!
Current Gatherings
Book Club
A book club is meeting monthly at the home of Toby Spitzer, 7513 Surreywood. Meetings are on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. If you would like to join, call Toby at (704) 841-2294.
Bible Study
Lizz Forbis will also be starting a Bible study on Tuesday October 21, from 7 to 8 pm. Meet at 713 Hammermill Court. The bible study will focus on "The God Questions". Please contact Lizz Forbis at 704-844-8599 for more information or if you are interested in attending. Light refreshments will be provided.
Ladies Night Out
Meets on the second Thursday of each month at 8 pm. Please feel free to stop by anytime after 8; there's no absolute start or stop time. Even if you're just out running errands, stop by for a quick drink and chat with neighbors.
