There are special ways you can participate in SWNA. Consider becoming a block captain. There are several openings, and it is most important that we find people willing to serve their neighbors in this capacity.

What do block captains do? The most important part of the job is to know the his/her neighbors, and to be aware of any special needs a neighbor might have. Block captains are your representatives to the neighborhood association. Any needs or concerns you may have about the neighborhood go first to your block captain. Your block captain receives the Woods Watch newsletters and distributes them to you. Many of our block captains work on, or head up, special project committees, such as neighborhood entrance sign rebuilding, or street lighting.

If you would like to serve your neighbors in this capacity, block captains are presently needed for Cloverwood Court, Covedale Drive (9503-9601), Falls Church Road, Lone Oak, Watergate Road (9500-9595), Winterset Drive. Please contact Judy.
